  Been going here since I was a kid- always perfect. After the old owners sold it went downhill for a while with cold food and veins in the chicken. Since then they have picked it up again and have hired the old chefs and waiters. The new owners have definitely learned from the senior staff who are always friendly. Definitely recommend coming here.

  This is probably the best example of a chain store (no evidence to flatter it by referring to it as a restaurant.) that is on life support and it shows, prior to any decision to even show up there.
  
  I called and requested to use their online coupon. The fool who answered the phone, who didn't know and clearly didn't know she doesn't know, said the dine in or pick up coupon may not be used for pick up orders.
  
  At one time I gladly gave my business and hard earned money to Pepe's and Kmart...stick a fork in them both, they are done.
  
  To make matters worse, the online coupon they didn't want to honor required printing.
  
  That's like saying able bodied bums who are of sound mind, yet still beg for beer money are homeless, when at best they're apartmentless.

  Pepe's Woodridge has really turned things around.  Food quality has improved.  They've returned to their original recipes and portions are large and tasty again.  Service is prompt and friendly as well.
  
  I'm not quite sure what happened when ownership changed hands but Pepe's is back to its old self!  Kudos to any restaurant that takes negative Yelp reviews seriously.

  Service was bad.  Waitress took my order and threw plate on table .  Never returned .   Rice was cold, beans looked gross. Orded taco dinner , I wonder, where's the beef.  The little beef that was there was terrible.  Best thing about the meal was the lettuce on taco.

  An absolute atrocious experience. The food was disgusting. Ordered the chicken quesadillas and my god were they disgusting. The meal was luke warm and the chicken was old and overcooked. The chicken was definitely frozen, bland, and just smelled horrible. Rice and beans were very salty. My friends ordered the same and all their dishes looked and tasted the same - disgusting.
  
  The margaritas were heavily watered down with barely any alcohol in it. Tasted like sugar water. A huge disappointment.
  
  Service was slow. There was another family walking around the place looking for service.
  
  I can see the other locations are rated poorly. I'll never eat at this chain of restaurants again! It could probably be featured in Kitchen Nightmares.
